The PME – Metropolis Research Initiative
is a collaboration between the Foundation for Population,
Migration and the Environment and Metropolis International.
The initiative aims to increase international comparative
research on migration and integration. Each Call-For-Proposals has a specific thematic focus. See below for details on the Calls that have taken place to date.
The Third PME/Metropolis call , announced in 2006, looks to financially support pre-studies on research on 1) The economic integration of skilled migrants; or 2) The integration of religious minorities.
The Second PME/Metropolis call, announced in 2004, provided funding for pre-studies on the “Governance and Flows of International Migration.”
The First PME/Metropolis call, which was announced in 2001, provided funding
for pre-studies on “Comparative Views on Integration
Policies and Migration Flows”
