The International Metropolis Project is a forum for bridging research, policy and practice on migration and diversity.
The Project aims to enhance academic research capacity, encourage policy-relevant research on migration and diversity issues,
and facilitate the use of that research by governments and non-governmental organizations.

Biographies

 

 

Deborah Platts is an anthropologist, currently working as a research officer for the Home Office. She works within the Immigration Research and Statistics Service, focusing mainly on issues relating to the reception of asylum seekers, in particular the UK dispersal system, but also on the integration of refugees and non-refugee migrants.

 

Following a number of years conducting and implementing the findings of research with voluntary groups and local government.
