SECRETARY GENERAL, QUARTIERS EN CRISE

Pauline Geoghegan is Secretary General of Quartiers en Crise, a European network of towns and cities with an integrated approach to urban renovation and residents' participation in that process.

Reflecting the multi cultural challenges being faced by many of Europe's most disadvantaged neighbourhoods, within the network Pauline has coordinated three transnational anti discrimination projects: 'Changing the culture of the Organisation', 'Training for partnership against discrimination', and a further project aiming at reinforcing partnership through the participation of those most directly affected by discrimination.

Pauline previously worked with the European Anti Poverty Network in Brussels for six years, as Development Officer, dealing, amongst other issues, with questions of racism and poverty in Europe.

Trained as an architect, and with experience in social and cooperative housing projects and urban planning issues, Pauline was Community Development worker in a local community centre in Dublin's inner city prior to moving to Brussels.
